Then Iparhi Agapi (Ama Then Eisai Edo)
ARKADIA...will shake your baklavas!
Since their formation in 1997, Arkadia has taken the world of Greek music to places it has never been.
From the beginning, this band from central Canada has drawn upon their passion for Greek culture and blended those sentiments with their essence of Canadiana to create music that is truly original.
They have appeared in festivals across Canada and in parts of the United States, and the result has been consistent throughout...spell-binding performances that have resulted in friends and fans wherever they have had the pleasure to appear.
Through the course of two internationally successful and award winning CD's,
"H Yefura/The Bridge" and "Seismos", Arkadia's music has been featured across Canada on prominent CBC programs such as Outfront, Gallery and This Morning, as well as charting on several world-beat and college radio stations. They have also found success in the United States and international destinations, including Australia, Argentina, Germany, Greece, England and France to name a few.
In 2004, EMI Records Canada selected Arkadia's song "Patritha" to appear on a compilation CD entitled "The Best Greek Album...Ever". Arkadia appears on the CD alongside the top names of the music scene in Greece.
Arkadia plans to release their much anticipated 3rd CD in 2005
