Bolero

The Mazmanian family has excited audiences and media alike with stunning and highly stylized performances of world, folk and internationally flavored classics featuring song and dance tunes from their own Armenian heritage. Diablo Magazine of Northern California has affectionately dubbed their music-making as "Maz-Hysteria"!

Violinist dad Greg is a Juilliard grad who has performed as soloist in the United States, Canada and Asia. The San Francisco Chronicle has described his playing as "sheer classiness" while The Strad of London has praised his "thrilling virtuoso flair!" Son, Eddy and daughter, Rose are also highly accomplished violinists while their sister Ida is an award-winning pianist.

The Mazmanians have performed throughout California and recently made their Canadian debut in Montreal.

A sample of comments from other musicians crosses over all genres. Legendary middle-eastern performer Richard Hagopian says, "This is not just another CD. This is the thrilling debut of a virtuoso family of musicians." Jazz fiddler Jeremy Cohen calls the CD "family music-making displayed at its finest." Concert violinist James Stern lauds "a level of lively spontaneity that is rarely heard. Bravo!" and Peter Noone from the legendary Herman's Hermits has "become a 'Mazmaniac' after hearing their wonderful new CD!"

San Francisco Symphony cellist Barbara Andres seems to put it best when she describes the Mazmanians' music-making as an "uplifting and colorful treat for the ears!"
