Mr O'Connor/The Banshee Wailing Over the Mangle Pit

"One of the Tradition’s great players" - Siobhan Peoples
"superb fiddling" - Maverick Magazine
"A class act on the fiddle with a natural, distinctive style" - FolkWords

Brought up in England but now based in County Clare, Ireland, Patricia Clark is being hailed as one of the brightest young musicians in Ireland. Renowned for her innovative yet traditional style on both the fiddle and piano, she has impressed master musicians from all over the world.

Whilst studying for a BA in Irish Music and Dance in Limerick, she has been given the opportunity to hone her instrumental skills under the tuition of some of the best Irish musicians in the world.

Patricia has also produced an album with international band, The Outside Track and has performed worldwide as part of many acts, featuring alongside bands such as Altan, The Chieftains and At First Light.

Her debut solo album, 'The Lark's March' was bred of a love of the older tunes and traditions in Co. Clare, many of them having never been recorded before.

Guest musicians on the album include Josie Harrington (guitar/vocals), Liam Joyce (guitar), Rodney Lancashire (bouzouki), Mark Donnellan (fiddle) and two times European-Champion Irish dancer Méabh Felton.

"In the time she has been residing here in Ireland, Tricia has absorbed the tradition at much deeper levels than just technique... It's not just what she can do with her hands, it's also what she chooses not to do with them... Whilst her technique is spot on, what struck me most about this recording was the depth of atmosphere she was able to create, particularly on the solo tracks [which] belie her young years and demonstrate her massive respect for what’s gone before her.”
