Percolations is a concept band directed and produced by jazz composer and pianist Charlie Bommarito. The band plays a very wide spectrum of jazz based world music. The recording of “Bash!� brilliantly captures the live party energy of a vibrant dance celebration. For this event the ensemble is enhanced by world-class drummers Thione and Gora Diop from Senegal, Mohammed Shaibu from Ghana and Brian Sorum on uplifiting trumpet and flugelhorn. Eric Chappelle adds some spicy string lines to compliment Bommarito’s colorful keyboards while the thunderous percussion section romps from Jamaica to Africa.
